Margaret Leon Romero, age 93, a resident of Questa, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Leon, and second husband, Tony Romero; parents, Juan Gabriel and Gavina Trujillo, and her siblings, Casilda Barela, Fernandez Trujillo, Epifanio Trujillo, Lino Trujillo, Levi Trujillo, Ernest Trujillo, and Ermelinda Garcia. Margaret was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved to spend time outdoors in her yard and especially loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her children, Connie Leon, Teresa Ortiz, Juanita Espinoza (Robert), Joseph Leon (Joann), Ricky Leon (Rachel), and Jose Martin Leon (James); 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, special nephew who she considered her own, Ernie Trujillo (Theresa), plus many nieces, nephews, relatives, and cherished friends. A funeral service was held on Wednesday July 12, 2023, at Grace Community Church in Arroyo Hondo, with burial at the Cerro Cemetery.
