The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) hosted a snowplow naming contest on social media, which garnered 23,261 votes. Each district had snowplows renamed, each name being a unique nod to New Mexico culture, movies, and language.

District 1: Sleetwood Mac and Snowplowpilla
District 2: Billy the Skid and That’s all Sick
District 3: Better Call Salt and Darth Blader
District 4: Walter Whiteout and EE, I Snow Huh?
District 5: Bis-Snow-Chito and Snowzobra
District 6: Mr. Snow It All and Ctl, Salt, Delete
