The Questa Varsity football team is currently on a winning streak this season. On August 24, the Questa Varsity team beat Navajo Pine 54-0. On October 31, Dulce forfeited the game therefore the score was 1-0. On Saturday, September 7, the Questa boys beat Pine Hill 60-24.
The Pine Hill game was sentimental to some, with the National Anthem being sung in the Navajo dialect. Following the game, the Questa Wildcats and the Pine Hill Warriors joined in unison on the field in prayer.
The Wildcats sit with a 3-0 record with their next matchup at home against the Walsenburg Panthers on Saturday, September 14 at 7 p.m. The Panthers are coming off a 51-14 loss against Las Animas. The Walsenburg Panthers current record sits 1-1.
