d. September 28, 2024
Tina Marie Romero passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2024, with her parents by her side.
Tina was born on December 4, 1966, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a graduate of Taos High School and Goucher College in Baltimore, and ran The Feed Bin in Santa Fe for seven years. A lover of languages, Tina spoke Spanish and French fluently and spent the past 20 years in France, where she ran several small businesses and worked as a chef. During this time, her adventures took her all over the world—including time living on a boat in St. Thomas, and a thrilling sail voyage across the Atlantic to Monaco. She returned home to San Cristobal earlier this year.
Tina will be remembered by her family and countless friends for her adventurous spirit, her loving warmth, her incredible cooking, and the bravery with which she lived life on her own terms.
Tina is survived by her parents, Vera and Robert Adelmo Romero; brother John (Victoria); nieces Maria Isabel (Niv) and Victoria Gabrielle; great-nephew Benicio Solomon; aunts Fabi, Veronica, and Eleanor (Alfredo Vigil); uncle Ramon Pacheco (Amy); and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lillian and Trygve Christenson and Gabriel and Domitila Romero, many aunts and uncles, and her beloved dogs, Saffron and Soleil. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
