The Questa Achievers 4-H club is partnering with the Questa Public Library for its first service project of the year, a community-wide stuffed animal drive aimed at helping children in crisis.
Club members are collecting new teddy bears and other huggable stuffed animals to donate to local emergency service providers. The goal is to offer comfort to children facing stressful or traumatic situations.
Decorated donation boxes have been placed at several locations around town, including the Questa Public Library, Sangre de Cristo Valley Market, Salon del Sol and the Taos Municipal Airport, along with other supporting businesses.
Organizers encourage residents to help fill the boxes across the community before the Mar. 27 deadline.
