Caregivers are an interesting group of people. We are so used to being the one who gives to others, the one who shows up for others, the one who supports others— we often forget to care for ourselves. Caregivers cook, clean, run errands, pay bills, provide personal care, manage medications, and advocate for our loved ones. most times we tend to forget to advocate for ourselves. The Questa Public Library would like to create a place for caregivers to share their stories and their knowledge, to express their frustrations and their joys, to find a community that understands the day to day life of caregiving.
As someone who cared for my mom for ten years I understand the ups and downs, the tears and laughter, the weariness and isolation that comes with this journey. Please come join other caregivers at the library on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. If you have questions please call us at (575) 586-2023 or email library@villageofquesta.org.
Our plan is to build a support group of caregivers for caregivers. We are smart people who know how to problem solve, come join us.
