Teacher Appreciation Week was from May 8-12 and members of the community came together to purchase furniture and lounge equipment for teachers at the Questa Jr./ Sr. High School and Alta Vista Elementary and Intermediate School. A post on the Questa Community PTO page recognizes Freedom Center Church and Pastor Kristi Gonzales as well as the LOR Foundation’s Maria Gonzalez for their work to make this project possible.
Items donated to local educators included two massage chairs, a boho rug, a soft floor lamp, plant and art fixtures, a decorative clock, a Keurig Coffee machine with Starbucks coffee pods, and other items.
Freedom Questa Church thanked Kristi Gonzales, Lita Mead, Naomi Vialpando, Susie Martinez, Penny Privette, Sunny Beckley, Rachel Vialpando, Korey Mead, Mike Alexander, Stacey Glass, Chad Housler, Justin Martinez and Roy Varela for helping assemble the new spaces.
