Free Spay Services in Taos County residents now have access to free spay and neuter services for cats and dogs, thanks to the nonprofit Spay Taos! Located at 36 Highway 522 in El Prado—across from Taos Veterinary Clinic—the clinic also provides free microchips and vaccinations. Services are available for both pets and feral cats. Appointments can be scheduled online at spaytaos.org or by calling (575) 240-8549. Donations to support the clinic’s mission can also be made through the website.
SLV Spay & Neuter Alliance mobile clinic offers low-cost spay and neuter services for cats and dogs in San Luis, Alamosa, and other towns in southern Colorado on a rotating basis. Surgeries include age-appropriate rabies and distemper vaccines. Microchips, bordetella vaccines, dewormer, nail trims, and mat removal are available at additional cost.
