Nominations Open For 2026Taos Community Foundation Nonprofit Of The Year Award

The Taos Community Foundation is accepting nominations for its 2026 Nonprofit of the Year Award, which recognizes a nonprofit organization making a meaningful impact in the community through vision, collaboration and measurable results.

The annual award honors a nonprofit that has developed a clear, inspiring and achievable vision for the future while building collaborative partnerships, addressing community needs and priorities, and demonstrating measurable progress toward its goals.

The organization selected as the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year will receive a $5,000 grant to support its ongoing work in the community.

Nominations may be submitted by board members, staff members, supporters and other community members. Individuals submitting nominations will be asked to provide their name and contact information.

According to the Taos Community Foundation, receiving the Nonprofit of the Year Award does not affect an organization’s eligibility to apply for or receive other grants offered by the foundation.

The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2026.

Foundation officials noted that the award is determined by an internal committee. Each eligible organization will be represented once in the nomination pool regardless of how many nominations it receives, and multiple submissions do not increase an organization’s chances of being selected.
