Agatha Nevarez Ramirez (Ageda), 86, of Questa, New Mexico, passed away in Mission Hills, California on May 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Agatha was born on January 05, 1939 in El Paso, TX, the daughter of Refugio Nevarez and Ofelia Fuentes.
Agatha married Cleto Ramirez on October 21, 1957. They were married for 66 years, until Cleto went to his final resting place in 2024. The couple met in the San Fernando Valley when they were teenagers. Their love blossomed and they got married at the young ages of 18 & 20. They went on to have four children who in turn gave them 10 adored grandchildren. They were also blessed with 3 great-grandchildren.
Agatha worked as a seamstress in her early years, but eventually excelled in a career as a Cafeteria Manager for LAUSD. She retired in 1994 at the age of 55 and that is when she and Cleto moved to Questa to build their dream home within the Sangre de Cristo mountains. They lived in Questa for 31 years and made many cherished friends who are considered extended family.
Agatha was an amazing cook and the best hostess. She would always offer a delicious meal, adult beverages, and great company. She enjoyed playing cards and board games. Her hobbies included crocheting, gardening, and FaceTiming with her loved ones.
Precious memories were made whenever anyone spent time with her, and her family looked forward to spending so much more time together. But God had other plans. She will be forever missed and loved.
Remaining to cherish Agatha’s memory are her children; son, Eric (wife Suzanne); daughter Edwina (husband Sergio); daughter Elena; and daughter Esperanza (husband Javier); grandchildren, Anthony, Alex (wife Suzanne); Ryan (wife Brittany); Adrian, Erica (husband Rudy); Adam, Benny, Celina, Matthew and Chloe; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Mateo, Nour, and a baby girl she saw in her dreams – coming this December! Brothers, Johnny (wife Josie), Robert (wife Margaret) and Danny; sisters, Yolanda (husband Sheldon) and Gloria. And many more extended family members. —May she rest in Paradise —
