d. Jan. 28, 2026
Donna Angela Bailon, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2026. Leaving behind a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a woman whose heart was as vast as her curiosity for the world, and whose greatest joy was always her family.
Born in Leadville, Colorado to Nerio and Arcycine Vigil. She grew up and graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1986 and moved to Questa, NM shortly after. She married her husband, Rickey Bailon in 1997. She worked for Red River Ski Area, Lift’s West Condominiums and as a 9-1-1 dispatch
er for the Town of Red River. After 15 years of dedicated service, she would retire from dispatching.
She loved traveling to new places, camping, and discovering adventures with those she held dear. She found joy in the simple pleasures—tending her flowers and various fruit trees, baking treats for family and friends, and spoiling her beloved dogs with the same devotion she showed to her children and grandchildren. Every moment spent with her felt special because she made ordinary life extraordinary with her warmth, humor, and love.
Her family was her pride and her purpose. She celebrated every milestone, comforted every sorrow, and filled every home with her laughter, generosity, and unwavering support. Her love was quiet yet profound, a constant presence that shaped the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Rickey Bailon; daughter, Fabiola Rendon (Kasey), step-children Yvonne Martinez (John) & Jesse Bailon (Amanda); grandchildren, Sophie, Livi, Lia, Gracey, Johnny and Devin; Mother-in-law Irene Bailon, Sister-in-law Vilma Bailon and many cherished friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nerio and Arcycine Vigil, son, Salvador Rendon, brother Wilfred Vigil, Sister Delsie Casias and Brother-in-Law Marshal Bailon.
Her spirit will live on in the love she gave, the laughter she inspired, and the countless memories she created. She will be remembered always—not just for the life she lived, but for the love she shared so freely and fully with everyone around her.
