Joan DeHart Blaz, age 78, a resident of Lama, passed away peacefully on June 14. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary DeHart, and brother Raymond DeHart.

Joan was known for being the “Avon Lady” of Taos. She sold Avon in Taos for many years. When Joan was not busy with her beautiful customers, you would find her volunteering with her husband at the Lama Volunteer Fire Department. She loved helping her community of Lama. She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and doing her amazing photography. Her beautiful smile and great personality will be missed by many.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. The family of Joan DeHart Blaz has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of Taos.
