The 2026 Questa Art Tour was another successful event with many new and returning visual artists and over 600 art-viewing guests. Visitors enjoyed an additional variety of musical offerings throughout the tour this year too. Thanks to much grant writing that paid for extensive advertising, our local artists welcomed customers from Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos. We also loved seeing our local neighbors who came out.

A huge thank you to all art tour patrons near and far; thanks also to all our sponsors and participating artists – we truly couldn’t do it without you and your wonderful work! Deep appreciation for the many folks that brought the event to fruition: volunteers and artist-volunteers that helped with the plethora of event tasks and to our QCC contractors for all of the essential but often invisible labor: Alberta Bouyer (marketing), Pilar Robledo (outreach) and Sierra Hedberg (grants manager+). Last but not least, gratitude for grant funding from Taos County, Chevron Grants for Good and Taos Community Foundation. This project was also supported in part by an award from New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Fall Ceramic Café Session, Oct. 21 – Dec. 16, 2026

The Art Room at the Questa Youth Center will again be alive with clay artistry this fall starting October 21 through December 16 (with a week off for Thanksgiving). During this eight-week session, the studio will be open on Wednesdays 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. You can be self-guided, or get help from hosts and ceramicist guides Carole and Anna. All abilities are welcome, from newbies to experts. Clay, tools and other materials are provided, as well as glazing and firing! The free, all-ages, open clay studio is supported by participant donations. (If you plan a large volume of work, we ask that you pay for your clay). Please note that all kids under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. The timing of this Ceramic Café aligns perfectly to get out and create some beautifully intentional holiday gifts and offerings. We hope to see you in the clay studio!
