Red River Distillery Earns National Vodka Honor for Fourth Straight Year

Red River Brewery & Distillery’s Silver King Vodka has been ranked among the top craft vodkas in the United States for a fourth consecutive year, earning the No. 5 spot in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The competition highlights the nation’s top 10 craft vodkas as determined by readers of USA TODAY and 10Best.com.
Silver King Vodka is made with snowmelt water from the mountains surrounding Red River and produced at one of the highest-elevation distilleries in the country. The spirit has earned 15 national awards to date, including a double gold medal and best of class recognition from the American Distilling Institute.

“Our pristine water and low-temperature distillation, made possible at this elevation, continues to give Silver King Vodka its smooth and subtle flavor profile,” head distiller Gavin Whealy said. “To win four years in a row is an incredible testament to the consistent quality of our product.”

Owner Michael Calhoun credited customers for the continued recognition.

“We are honored by the support and recognition from our fans,” Calhoun said. “We’re passionate about crafting high-quality spirits and deeply grateful for this award.”

Silver King Vodka and the company’s other products are sold in more than 400 liquor stores and distributed in New Mexico through Southern Glazer’s and in Texas through Green Light Distribution.

Red River Brewery & Distillery, founded in 2018, is a family-owned business.
