The Taos Community Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 Teacher Mini-Grants, offering up to $200 to educators and school personnel in Taos County for educational projects.
Applications opened Aug. 17 at 8 a.m. and will be accepted through Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.
The grants are available to school personnel who work directly with students, including teachers, counselors and librarians. The supplemental grants are intended to help fund educational projects and cannot be used for operational or capital expenses. Proposals involving capital expenses will not be considered.
The foundation said the program is part of its effort to support local public-school educators and recognize their role in strengthening the community.

The foundation is also supporting a number of free public community events through its Event Support Grant Cycle.
Among the events receiving support is Taos Plaza Live 2026, a free concert series held Thursday evenings at the historic Taos Plaza Gazebo. The series runs through Aug. 20 and features local New Mexican bands. Concerts are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., with event information listing the overall event time as 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The Taos Community Foundation is also supporting the 2026 Talpa Community Market, a weekly Friday market at the Talpa Community Center, 4 Archuleta Road in Ranchos de Taos.
The market runs through Oct. 2, from 3 to 8 p.m., and features fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey and other goods from regional growers, farmers, artisans and youth vendors. The market began in 2021 and has grown into a community gathering for local residents.

The foundation said its Event Support Grants are designed to help make free public community events possible throughout Taos County.
