Taos Plaza Live Returns With Free Five-Week Summer Concert Series

The Taos County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the Taos Plaza Live concert series July 23, bringing five weeks of free live music to the historic Taos Plaza gazebo.


The annual summer series will take place every Thursday through Aug. 20 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., featuring local and regional musicians performing in the heart of downtown Taos. Organizers say the event is designed to celebrate Northern New Mexico’s music scene while encouraging residents and visitors to gather, dine, shop and enjoy the plaza.


The 2026 lineup includes:

  • July 30: Stone Daddy with Jimmy Stadler at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Chris Arellano Brothers Band with Jimmy Stadler at 6:30 p.m.
  • Aug. 6: Lucero Brothers Band at 5:30 p.m., followed by Katy P & The Business at 6:30 p.m.
  • Aug. 13: Gabriella Salazar Band at 5:30 p.m., followed by El Grupo Mezcal at 6:30 p.m.
  • Aug. 20: Iriebellion at 5:30 p.m., followed by Last to Know at 6:30 p.m.


Admission is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and arrive early to explore businesses surrounding Taos Plaza before performances begin.


The concert series is supported by numerous local government agencies, businesses, nonprofit organizations and community partners, including Taos County, the Town of Taos, Visit Taos, Los Alamos National Laboratory through TRIAD, the LOR Foundation, Taos Mountain Casino, Holy Cross Medical Center, Taos Ski Valley, Kit Carson Electric Cooperative, UNM-Taos, Taos Community Foundation and several local media organizations.


Additional support comes from volunteers, musicians, first responders, the Taos County Sheriff’s Office and the Taos County Lodgers Tax Grant program.
