As we enter the halfway mark for Questa Farmers Market’s 10th (and my first) season, I can finally take time to reflect on what this experience has taught me. It has been a season in transition, learning along the way as new energy meets the seasoned.
The dynamic is bound to create change, even without intention. It’s part of the process.
Nature itself shows us that change is the only constant. And our market? Always moving, always shifting, always changing. Each week brings a different recipe of flavors and feel. Some weeks are electric, buzzing with energy and bursting with bounty; others are quieter, slower, and smaller.
There really isn’t much we can control. Between unpredictable weather, surprise outages, parking madness, and the whole human element, loosening the grip is the only way through. (Being totally fine with falling flat helps too.)
Just like life, we expand and contract, ebb and flow, learning to pivot and breathe with whatever each moment throws our way.
That’s the rhythm.
Learn and adjust, or get run over (sometimes literally!).
In this time of greater uncertainty, we all get to choose our contribution to the greater whole. What imprint do we want to make?
With Questa Farmers Market, we continue to strive to co-create something truly unique with our Community: an accessible connection to fresh produce from known and trusted growers, small-batch food featuring locally sourced ingredients and made with loving hands, a wide variety of local musicians that lift and connect, and a lively shared space where our diverse cultures, backgrounds and beliefs come together into one ever-changing mosaic of life.
“Loving thy neighbor” starts here: with good food, good feelings and human connection. Built together, shared together, and nurtured together in the backdrop of the most stunning of surroundings.
There’s no place like it.
We’ll see you at The Market!
