It’s finally happening, the long-anticipated 2021 Questa Studio Art Tour! Last year’s tour was cancelled due to the pandemic. Hosting 45 creative and skilled local artists, our tour is ripe to set the trend for northern New Mexico art tours—we are the first of the season! This year’s tour will feature 15 locations, with 13 multi-artist hubs. Spanning 20 miles, the route starts at the south end of Questa and runs east to the edge of the Carson National Forest and north through Sunshine Valley. New hubs have developed and new artists have joined for the 2021 season, and there will be plenty of new works created by your favorite artist from past tours. It will be an exciting event!
Get your map/brochure now at the Questa Visitor Center, at ArtQuesta Gallery, or at the main information booth on the days of the tour, at stop #5. Every hub and studio will have them, too.
Adjacent to the Questa Visitor Center on the same weekend (August 14 and 15) are two markets to visit: Questa Crafts & Collectibles Market on Saturday, and the Questa Farmers Market on Sunday (both from 10 am – 2 pm).
The Questa Studio Art Tour will follow all New Mexico health orders as they arise. Please make sure you follow them, too.
The Questa Studio Art Tour is a project of the Questa Creative Council. This project is funded and supported in part by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts. Further support comes from the Questa Economic Development Fund, the Taos Community Foundation, and The Los Alamos Foundation. We offer our gratitude and thanks to our funders and to you, our local supporters!

Questa Creative Council Board member and artist: I paint the Southwest because I love the land! Being raised in the country, I have a strong tie to it. It’s a sense of deep emotions, of memory, and of history. While I am painting, I try to capture the feeling of the place, what is all around me: the smells, what I hear, and what I see – a complete picture. My abstracts represent “My Other Side.” I play with emotions through color, shapes, and energy to make playful compositions.
