Patriotic Baby Quilt Project Honors America’s 250th Anniversary

The Taos Mountain Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary with a special baby quilt project honoring America’s semiquincentennial.
The chapter has created a handmade patriotic baby quilt that will be awarded to a qualifying newborn residing in Taos County or Mora County.

To be eligible, an infant must be the first baby born on or after July 4, 2026, and reside in either Taos County or Mora County, according to chapter officials.

The America 250 Baby Quilt Project is part of the chapter’s efforts to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary while recognizing the newest generation of Americans.

Families with qualifying newborns are encouraged to contact chapter Regent Pat Keenan for information about eligibility and the selection process.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to historic preservation, education and patriotism. The Taos Mountain Chapter serves Northern New Mexico through community service and educational programs.
