The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish has rescheduled its annual leftover license sale after a technical failure disrupted the online license system Wednesday morning (June 25), preventing customers from completing purchases.
The sale will now begin for New Mexico residents on Wednesday, July 16, at 10 a.m. Any remaining licenses will become available to non-residents starting Thursday, July 17, at 10 a.m.
“We understand we had a technical failure,” said Department Director Michael Sloane. “In order to be fair and equitable to all, we are going to re-run the license sale.”
The Department said additional details about the types and quantities of available licenses will be announced in the coming days.
