Are you a small business owner or considering starting a business in the Questa area? This is your chance to receive guidance, professional support, and the possibility of funding to help launch your business and take it to the next level.
The Questa Economic Development Fund has established a fund of $20,000 to support Questa-area start-ups and businesses who participate in the 8-week UNM-HIVE Incubator Pollinator Program and the Questa Business Bridge GPS (Goal setting and Planning for Success) Series Pitch Contest.
Join other start-up business-newbies, fellow entrepreneurs and supportive mentors for this one-of-kind opportunity. Launching Tuesday, March 25, 2025, the program runs from 5:30-7:30 p.m. every Tuesday for eight weeks, featuring structured workshops covering a range of business topics such as business development, sales and marketing, designing for everyone, accounting, fundraising and crowdfunding, and pitching. All classes are facilitated by local business professionals, educators, and experts in their fields.
The classes are being held at the HIVE location in Taos and will be conveniently live-streamed to the Questa Visit Center for Questeños who don’t want to drive to Taos to participate (we’ll be moving to the Questa Library once it is reopened following their flood remediation). Questa-area participants can attend in person at the HIVE at 1146 Gusdorf Road in Taos, or easily in Questa with the same live-streamed, interactive content. Every Monday there will be informal Open Lab sessions to assist participants with the subject matter and their projects.

Of the $20,000 in available funding, the first-place award will be up to $5,000. The exact amounts awarded, and the number of awards, will depend on the number of eligible candidates, the quality of the projects, pitch presentations, and judges’ evaluations.

To be eligible for Questa Business Bridge GPS Series Grant funding, your business, or potential business, needs to be located in the greater Questa area, from San Cristobal north to Costilla/Amalia.
You will need to register to participate in UNM-HIVE’s Free 8-Week Pollinator Workshop & Lab Series starting Tuesday, March 25; use the QR Code below or go to taoshive.com > 2025 HIVE Pollinator.
Attend at least seven of the eight weekly Incubator Pollinator Series workshops on Tuesdays that run through May 13, conveniently live-streamed to Questa with an on-site facilitator.
Demonstrate your commitment by being engaged in the program, attending Monday evening labs, completing all of the curriculum, exploring and taking advantage of additional business resources.
Sign up for and participate in the Questa Business Bridge GPS Pitch Contest to be held in June (at a date and location to be determined).
