Questa’s holiday season is shining brighter this year with the launch of the Holiday Shop Questa campaign, a local promotion to inspire residents and visitors to celebrate the season by supporting local businesses.

Organized by the Questa Economic Development Fund (QEDF) and sponsored by the LOR Foundation, the campaign encourages the community to “Love Questa & Shop Local!” this holiday season. When shoppers visit local merchants, they can enter to win local gift certificates through daily drawings with over $1,000 in local prizes.

Throughout the month of December, residents and visitors are encouraged to frequent local merchants for all of their holiday shopping needs and dining experiences. Each time they visit participating Questa-area businesses they can enter the drawing for giveaways.

Look for the clear entry boxes with the ‘Shop Questa’ holiday logo near store registers, making it easy to drop in an entry form. Drawings will be held daily throughout the month, with each winner announced on Questa del Rio News Facebook page.

Prizes include gift certificates for local shops, restaurants, and service providers, driving even more business to local merchants, and showcasing the variety of shopping possibilities in and around the Questa area.

The excitement builds toward the Grand Prize Drawing, where one lucky entrant will receive $250 in cash on December 31 to spend throughout the community. All entries made throughout the month will automatically be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing.

Supporting local merchants not only brightens the season for the community and your gift recipients, it also bolsters the economy of the entire community. When $100 is spent locally, $68 stays in the community, re-circulating to pay workers, purchase supplies, and support local charitable causes. The dollars spent in small businesses are re-spent six to fifteen times, driving economic activity that generates jobs, and contributes to the long-term investment in community services and infrastructure.

The Holiday ‘Shop Questa’ giveaway is open to the public, and participants need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by phone. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age, and each person may win only once through Dec. 30, 2025. No purchase is necessary, and the odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.
