The Questa Del Rio News is happy to welcome Gary Avinger as our new advertising accounts manager. He has taken over ad sales from Dina Coleman who is enjoying a new full-time job while continuing part-time as QEDF’s Office Manager.
Gary, his wife Annie, and their two dogs Bananas and Cookie moved to Taos from Houston, where Gary worked as a Harris County Deputy before transferring to work as Human Trafficking and Missing Children Investigator. Gary co-founded and led a Missing Children and Human Trafficking task force over Eight Counties in the greater Houston area, with over six million residents. After recovering over two hundred missing children, Gary felt like his work there was done.
He is now focusing on a career in comedy and entertainment, he’s currently co-hosting “Fresh Out the Box”, a three-times-weekly livestream for Tabletop Gaming, and Fresh Out the Podcast, a movie, streaming show, and video game podcast https://linktr.ee/freshouttheboxofficial.
Gary is enjoying his new life in New Mexico and loves the Questa community. From barbecue to scenic views, the small and quiet community Questa is a piece of heaven on Earth. Tucked in between Taos and Colorado, Questa is the perfect sized town surrounded with endless landscapes, a national park, and the most friendly folk in New Mexico.
Gary has been a great help to the Q News team, and brings creative, innovative energy to our newsroom — taking our technology to the next level. We are so glad he is here!
