The Kit Carson Electric Cooperative (KCEC) recently made some big investments in northern Taos County. KCEC donated $10,000 to the Charles Cisneros VFW and another $10,000 to the Costilla Neighborhood Association. The cooperative also rewarded $39,000 in student scholarships, four of the recipients being from Questa High School. Since 1996, the cooperative has rewarded over $600,000 in scholarships to local students from the Taos area, which has included Questa students every year. “KCEC is committed to supporting our rural communities with these community projects that bring value to the “community,” says KCEC Chief Executive Officer Luis Reyes.
