NM Department Of Veterans̕ Services to Host Statewide Conference

The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services will host a statewide veterans’ conference on Saturday, May 3, at the Buffalo Thunder Resort Pueblo Ballroom. The free event will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 30 Buffalo Thunder Trail, Santa Fe, and is open to veterans, family members, service providers and advocates from across New Mexico. The conference will include breakout sessions specifically for tribal and women veterans.


State Benefits personnel will be available to assist eligible veterans and unmarried widows with applications for property tax waivers, exemptions and state park passes. Certified Veteran Service Officers will also be on-site to help attendees with VA benefits claims, healthcare eligibility, disability compensation and other state benefits.
