It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Billy “Bam Bam” Norman Valdez on July 10, 2025. Born May 10, 1958 to Julian and Alice Valdez in Costilla, NM. He was a life long resident of the Costilla community.

Billy had one son. His legacy continues through Jeremy and Teresa Valdez, as well as his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.– each bearing witness to his life’s impact.

A proud Army veteran, Billy served his county earning Marksman honors in hand grenade and sharpshooter recognition in rifle marksmanship.

A hardworking, talented man in his abilities which include carpenter, plumber, electrician, handyman as well as a gifted musician, (guitar/drums) singer.

He loved the Lord, and showed it in his kindness and generosity.

He is preceded in death by both mother and father and wife Veronica Valdez.

Billy will be missed by his 5 siblings Julie Pacheco (Pablo), Melvin Valdez, Linda Sue Turner, Tina Valdez, Julian (Linda) Valdez, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
