Gilbert V. Santistevan, 88, of Questa was born in 1934 and passed away on July 18, 2022. He retired as a diesel mechanic from Moly Mine. He was also a talented welding artist, whose art can be seen as far as the Smithsonian Institute. Gilbert was a committed, devoted, dedicated and loving father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Aurora Santistevan, sons, Baby Gaby, Glenn, Robert and Leebert Santistevan, parents, Victoriano and Maclovia Santistevan, granddaughters, Victoria, Jackie and Paula, grandson, Daniel and all of his siblings.

He is survived by his daughters, Cyndie Santistevan (Frank), Vikki Sandoval (Dave), Bonnie Santistevan, and Julie Segura (Joseph); 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special friend, Cecilia; and many other relatives and friends.

A service with public visitation was held Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Rivera Chapel in Taos. Funeral service was Monday, July 25, 2022 at Rivera Chapel in Taos with interment following at the San Pedro Cemetery in Questa.
