Isabel Herrera Garcia passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 in Albuquerque, N.M. Isabel was born on May 25, 1935, to Fermin and Ursulita Herrera in Questa, N.M. at the family home where she was raised.

She is predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Garcia, of 69 years. She is also predeceased by her brother Eliu Herrera and sisters Aida (Tony) Flores, Mabel (Virgil) Trujillo, Oralia (Michael) Gaillour, son-in-law Roger Archuleta, grandchildren Ruben and Nicole Salazar, and Issiah and Issac Garcia.

She is survived by her daughters, Germaine (Gene) Sanchez, Louise Archuleta, and son Benny (Frances) Garcia; grandchildren Benjamin (Anna) Garcia, Patricia (James) Raschel, Devonne (Michael) Montoya; great-grandchildren Christopher Elliott, Avi, Koi and Rio Garcia, Memphis, Michael, Maverick, and Maysn Montoya. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Berlinda Herrera and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Rosary was recited on Saturday May 17, followed by the Mass of Christian burial at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Questa, with burial at El Pueblito Cemetery.
