QDRN Welcomes Rachel Kuc’

Questa Del Rio News welcomes Rachel Kuc’ to our team as Community Calendar Coordinator and Subscriptions Manager. She has also lent her services to us for technical support and has helped us resolve a number of digital dilemmas.

Rachel is a Questa resident and holds this community dear to her heart. She recently took a full-time position as the Communications and Development Director at the Millicent Rogers Museum in El Prado. The museum is free for Taos County residents on Sunday and Rachel hopes that you will stop by for a visit soon to see their wonderful exhibits.

Rachel has been working in community relations and marketing since she graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 2012 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has a background in the Arts and in marketing. She also holds a certificate in Southwest Style Woodworking from UNM Taos and an Associates Degree in New Media from Santa Fe Community College.

Prior to her new roles with Questa News and Millicent Rogers Museum, Rachel was the Media Specialist for Vida Del Norte, which is a community organization in northern Taos County focused on youth substance misuse prevention. Rachel also works with Taos Education Collaborative, a local organization that supports the students of Taos County. The Collaborative’s role is to increase access to high-quality educational experiences and outcomes across our communities, regardless of the students’ demographics, school of enrollment, or family’s language of origin or socioeconomic status. If a student in your family does not have access to the Internet at home, you can contact the Taos Education Collaborative and they can help you get connected. Visit taosedcollab.org to find out more.

Since starting with Questa Del Rio News, Rachel has been revamping the newspaper’s community calendar. You can now submit your community events directly on the calendar web page: questanews.com/events. Rachel will review these submissions before they post, and she will reach out to you if she has any questions. You can also email her regarding events at: events@questanews.com. Do you have questions regarding Millicent Rogers Museum? Reach out to her at rachel@millicentrogers.org.
