The Questa Junior/Senior High School Honor Society will host a sweetheart community blood drive Wednesday, Feb. 18.
The drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Jr./Sr. health room at Questa Jr./Sr. High School. The event is open to the public.
Appointments are encouraged. Community members can schedule a donation by calling (877) 258-4825 or by emailing Santana Santistevan at ssantistevan@questa.k12.nm.us
Donors must meet standard eligibility requirements. Individuals as young as 16 may donate blood with a signed parental consent form.
Each blood donation has the potential to save up to three lives. Organizers emphasize that life does not stop when donors give and encourage community members to participate to help maintain an adequate local blood supply.
