Questa Ladycats Continue District Dominance with Wins


The Questa Ladycats brought home another win in district playoffs on Oct. 28 at home against the Mora Lady Rangerettes in four sets, securing another key district win.


With this victory, the Ladycats continue to build momentum late in the season, demonstrating their depth and determination as district play intensifies.


Senior Ariana Media leads the team serving 54 aces so far this season. Junior Esperanza Vallejos leads in total blocks with 136. Sophomore Analea Cisneros has an impressive 484 digs this season and Sophomore Maliyah Dominguez leads with 217 assists.


Tuesday’s (Oct. 28) night matchup also marked the Ladycats’ annual Dig Pink game, an event dedicated to supporting cancer awareness and local community members affected by cancer. The team raised funds for local cancer champions Annette Rael and Raulie Apodaca, honoring their strength and resilience.


The heartfelt effort highlighted the Ladycats’ commitment to giving back to their community while competing with passion and purpose.


The Ladycats sit 6-1 in district playoffs, 16-4 overall this season. The Ladycats sit 2nd in 2A District 5. The remaining games on the team’s roster include Oct. 30 at Mesa Vista, Nov. 6 against Penasco at home, and Nov. 7 against McCurdy at home.
