Red River 4th of July Celebration Preview

Red River is gearing up for one of New Mexico’s most festive Independence Day traditions as it hosts its annual 4th of July Parade and Celebration on July 4 and 5, 2025.

The event, considered one of the biggest and best mountain Fourth of July celebrations in the state, promises two days of patriotic fun, family-friendly entertainment, and a touch of holiday cheer with this year’s theme, “Christmas in July.”

The parade will take place on Friday, July 4. Lineup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for floats, decorated vehicles, marching units, bands and equestrian groups. The parade will start promptly at 10 a.m.

Entry is just $10, and organizers are encouraging locals and visitors alike to get involved. You can register by visiting https://tinyurl.com/3cuxpmky.

Following the parade, festivities will continue at Brandenburg Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, with more events planned through Saturday. Attendees can expect live music, food vendors, family activities, and themed attractions in celebration of Independence Day, in the spirit of Christmas!

Around 6 p.m., many locals will make their way to Eagle Nest for the annual fireworks display. You will be able to see the display from the side of the road.

We will be livestreaming festivities from Questa del Rio News social media account. Be sure to give us a follow at facebook.com/QuestaNews.
