The Red River Chamber of Commerce has announced a new slate of officers and board members, while honoring two longtime leaders whose terms on the Board of Directors have come to a close.
David Wilcox, owner of Reservations Unlimited and a former Chamber president, and Brian Waltz, the immediate past president, are both stepping down after years of service. Wilcox, who joined the board in 2019, was recognized for guiding the organization through pivotal moments, including the challenges of 2020.
Waltz, who led the Chamber as president since 2022, was instrumental in shaping key policies, helping steer the group through post-pandemic recovery efforts, and supporting the reestablishment of local festivals. Both were praised for their leadership and dedication to the community.
The newly elected officers are:
- President: Rachel Swigart-Davis
- Vice President: Sharon Calhoun
- Secretary: Dustin Cox
- Treasurer: Terrie Bowen (continuing in her role)
Swigart-Davis previously served as vice president and will now lead the Chamber with a focus on continuing strategic efforts to support the local economy and community wellbeing.
In addition to the officer changes, two new members have joined the board:
- Dustin Cox, general manager at Auslander Condos, joins with a goal of giving back through the Chamber’s community-focused initiatives.
- Kristen Rychlik, manager at Reservations Unlimited, brings nearly a decade of local business experience and a strong interest in supporting the Chamber’s events and festivals.
Chamber officials said they look forward to the continued collaboration of the board as it works to promote a vibrant and thriving Red River.
