August will heat up in Red River (to about 80 degrees) with music and much, much more. The mountains around Red River will be filled with music, festivals, and events!
Let the pickers liven up your life with the 46th Annual Bluegrass and Traditional Music Festival, August 13-15, at the Red River Conference Center and Brandenburg Park. (See related story on this page) For more information visit https://southwestpickers-festival.org/
BBQ and music are two of the best things to put together this August: experience music, food, and fun in Red River August 19-21 in Brandenburg Park, Bitter Creek, The Tip, and Texas Reds restaurants—and The Motherlode Saloon.
The music lineup includes Hayes Carll, Josh Grinder Band, Jason Boland, Kelly Mickwee, Amy LaVere, Jed Zimmerman, and local favorite Mike Addington, just to name-drop a few. What could be better than this lineup? Adding BBQ, of course!
The food lineup finds us again hosting the Lone Star BBQ Society Cook-off, Chili Appreciation Society International Cook-off, and the New Mexico State Green Chile Championship! The BBQ competition has a purse of $10,000 and the best finger-lickin’ good meats you will find anywhere. The CASI Red Chili competition will be hot and spicy. But New Mexico is the Green Chile Capital of the World, and you will find the best of the state in Red River on that weekend. Music, fun and food, eat your heart out!
