Red River celebrated a safe and spirited Memorial Day weekend with events that offered something for everyone.
At Brandenburg Park, the second annual Mayfest in the Mountains drew hundreds of families, visitors and locals for a weekend of activities. Children climbed a rock wall, guests sampled food from local vendors, carnival rides, corn hole and giant water balls floated across small pools. Live music filled the park with performances throughout the day.

Nearby, the Motherlode Saloon, Texas Reds and Bull O’ The Woods teamed up to revive a piece of Red River tradition: the Revive the Ride motorcycle rally. While smaller than rallies in previous years, motorcycles lined the streets in sections of the town

Following the weekend, comments in the Red River Tourism Hub Facebook group reflected widespread appreciation for the family-friendly atmosphere. Many noted the town struck a balance between honoring traditions while creating safe, inclusive spaces for families, locals and motorcycle groups alike. Several folks expressed interest in seeing the events grow in order to kick off the summer season strong as many locals rely on tips and robust hours.

The Revive the Ride live auction, hosted by the rally organizers, raised more than $5,500 for veterans’ organizations. In response, the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) presented the event organizers with an American flag plaque of honor, to be displayed to recognize the saloon’s continued support of local veterans throughout the weekend.
