Technology Company Raises $28K for Calf Canyon/Hermit’s Peak Victims

By Vincent King, Lead Graphic Designer, DSI

DSI (previously Document Solutions, Inc.) CEO and President Phil and Theresa Houser parked their RV  in Pendaries RV park for many years for family outings. These outings were dear because both have ties to the community that date back decades. Now they saw the devastation.

Phil said, “The Hermits Peak Canyon Calf Fire hit way too close to home. You hear about this happening in other parts of the country, and it has been devastating to see the destruction caused by these fires followed by the flooding.”

Here at DSI, a Albuquerque company founded by Phil and Theresa Houser, one of our core values is Community. We want to partner with, and give back to the communities we do business in.

We celebrated 25 years working across beautiful New Mexico and are so grateful. We support digital copiers, parts and supplies, IT products/services, VOIP Phones, video walls and interactive panels, security cameras, access control, and more.

We reached out to our primary manufacturers:

“Seeing first-hand, what’s happening in the community I grew up in, we immediately reached out to our primary manufacturer partners, and they stepped up” Phil said. “We don’t want to be perceived as a company that is only on the receiving end of things. At DSI we are about the betterment of our community and our partnerships.”

Konica Minolta, Sharp, Epson, Crexendo Phones, Katum Corp., Virtual Technologies all came together to support this disaster relief fundraiser. We are proud partners of both Las Vegas Community Foundation (LVNMCF) and New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU), both of which share DSI’s passion and core values. LVNMCF is a charitable, nonprofit organization founded in 2017. The organization’s vision is “to attract and develop resources that broadly serve the greater Las Vegas community and its residents through programs, and policies.”

We want to thank our NMHU partner, a public, state-run institution located in Las Vegas, NM, with centers in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Farmington and Roswell. Their vision is to be a premier comprehensive university transforming lives and communities now as well as generations to come.

We love the culture of Northern New Mexican people and know that the spirit of this community is bigger and stronger than any challenge put before us! This community will come back from this even stronger because of it! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all who have been affected.
