The month of February is your last chance to see “A Life Lived with Intention, Creativity, and Love.” Visit this strikingly beautiful photo show, which is a reflection of David Zimmermann’s travels to places he loves. You can see his true nature through these intimate, sometimes almost hauntingly beautiful images. He is a man who shows his intentions and feelings through the images he produces. This is a show you won’t want to miss!
The locations of his pictures range from local landscapes to places in Mexico, Alaska, and New York City. If you haven’t made it over to the library, stop by through February to catch the show. The library has almost 50 images on display.
Also on display are some of the permanent collection of historical photos of Questa, in the teen area of the library.

Beginning in March, new larger historical Questa photos will replace Zimmermann’s images in the main display area, while the 30 smaller historical images will stay up in the teen room. See if you can add to the photos’ narrative histories by providing information about the places, people, and memories that are represented.
Also, remember to check out the current textile display. This is always a fun way to see our talented local craftspeople’s beautiful knitting, weaving, crochet, and quilted creations. The lovely showcased purple embroidered quilt behind the main desk is the current raffle prize for the Questa Quilters Guild. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at the library.
The Questa Library is located at 6-½ Municipal Park Road, Questa, New Mexico.

Questa Creative Council Board member and artist: I paint the Southwest because I love the land! Being raised in the country, I have a strong tie to it. It’s a sense of deep emotions, of memory, and of history. While I am painting, I try to capture the feeling of the place, what is all around me: the smells, what I hear, and what I see – a complete picture. My abstracts represent “My Other Side.” I play with emotions through color, shapes, and energy to make playful compositions.
