The iconic Ponderosa Lodge in Red River is getting a major facelift. It is expected to be completed by 2024.
In a press release, the Town of Red River Office of Economic Development says the new boutique hotel is set to modernize the iconic Ponderosa Lodge, offering an upscale experience which will serve as a testament to the town’s commitment to further enhancing the tourism industry.
“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey of introducing the Ponderosa Lodge, Ascend Hotel Collection by Choice Hotels to our vibrant community,” said Max Khudiakov, director of the Town of Red River Office of Economic Development and Tourism. “With this new addition, we aim to cater to the increasing demand for an upscale hotel experience in Red River, further establishing our town as an appealing destination for visitors from all walks of life.”
As part of the renovation and enhancements, Ponderosa Lodge, Ascend Hotel Collection, will feature a luxurious hot tub for guests to enjoy after a day of outdoor adventures or exploring the town’s rich cultural heritage. This amenity will provide a perfect retreat for visitors seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, and unforgettable memories.
Construction and renovations kicked off on October 9, 2023 and the town believes the completion will take approximately one year.
The press release goes on to say the Town of Red River Office of Economic Development and Tourism encourages individuals, families, and businesses to follow the progress of the hotel’s construction and development, as it signifies an exciting chapter in the town’s growth and commitment to providing exceptional hospitality.
