Ladycats Basketball Set for Competitive 2025–26 Season

The Questa Ladycats basketball team opened the 2025–26 campaign on Nov. 29 with a road matchup at Raton, launching a season that features early travel tests, key midyear home stands, and a district slate packed with rivalry energy. The Ladycats dominated against the Raton Lady Tigers by 30 points with a 55-25. This year’s team is being coached by Erica Padilla and Cody Schave.

Questa Boys Basketball Looks to Build Momentum as 2025–26 Season Tips Off

The Questa High School boys basketball team is gearing up for a full slate of competition as the 2025–26 season began on Nov. 29 with a road matchup at Raton. With a schedule that mixes early non-district tests and a challenging district lineup, the Wildcats are aiming to establish their identity early and carry that momentum into the heart of winter play. The team dropped a heartbreaker in their season opener Saturday, Nov. 29, falling 42–40 to Raton after a frantic final minute. The Wildcats led most of the game and were up late in the fourth before Raton rallied to tie and take the lead off a turnover. Down five with seconds remaining, Questa hit a dramatic 3-pointer and drew a foul to pull within two, but the final free throw missed, and Raton took the win.
