The Questa Wildcat Cheer team, coached by Maria Medina and Angel Medina, have been busy throughout the month of February. In addition to cheering at multiple basketball games across the region, they have also been competing and dominating at statewide cheer competitions.

On Saturday, Feb. 1, the Wildcat Cheer team traveled to Albuquerque to compete in the Spirit of Hope Challenge at Tingley Coliseum. The team placed first in High School 1A-3A Game Day performance.

The following weekend, cheer teams from across the state traveled to Capital High School in Santa Fe to compete in the Rumble in the Jungle Varsity Cheer Competition. The local Questa Wildcat Cheer team again placed first in both Game Day and Cheer with Music.

On Saturday, Feb. 15, the team headed to their third cheer competition at the Santa Fe Demon Invitational. The team placed first in Game Day and Cheer with Music categories.

Their consistent first place recognition demonstrates a continuing streak of excellence of the team and the Questa Cheer team continues to show up strong as they head toward the state competition which will be held March 21 and 22, 2025 at the UNM Pit.
