The Questa Library has come a long way from the tiny two-room facility that opened over a decade ago. Your new-and-improved library is more than an expanded building complete with a Children’s Library — and it’s even more than 100-foot drawings of Blue Whales on the parking lot! Thanks to a generous donation from Mike Barbee of Sage Automatic Systems, now we have a 3-D printer! Have you been waiting for an opportunity to try out a 3-D printer? Are you curious to see what this new printer will do? Do you have something in mind to print? (No weapons, please!)
It is time to roll out the new printer. We would like to hear from you if you are interested in learning about and using our 3-D printer. Please contact us at the library, (575) 586-2023, to express your interest. This new equipment opens up endless possibilities. Be a part of the future!
Letter From Sharon Nicholson, Questa Public Library Director
I am doing great following the stroke I had on Nov. 21. My energy is returning, and I don’t have any obvious damage. Assistant Librarian, Linda Mansell, acted quickly when we realized I was in distress and called Questa EMS. Raynelle Sanchez-Cordova and her coworker, Kate Ingils were at the library within a few minutes. They knew what to do, and got me to Taos quickly and quietly.
The first thing I did after I settled in at home after a couple of days at Holy Cross was get my knitting out. Sure enough, my hand was a little weak, but I could knit! It seems fine now, and I have two projects on the needles.
I started back to work, maybe a little too soon and a little too much. It is easy to expect too much of ourselves on a daily basis… but hey, we all have good and bad days and that’s okay. Life has a way of reminding us that life is short, eat dessert first, that’s what I do!
I am so thankful for everyone who helped me and for all the good thoughts and prayers. Keep trying to tell me to slow down… I will try to listen!
