Here we are, over a month into 2024! Many of you have already tackled your reading list for the year and have visited the Questa Library to check out books. That’s great! We have 49 new adult books for you and will order more titles throughout the year. I wonder if you remember what other possibilities our library offers. Let me remind you!

Perhaps you are curious about your ancestors! We have Archives here at the library. We recently added ANCESTRY and related software including a family tree builder on our computers. Take a look soon.
Do you know about LIBBY? Libby is an app offering thousands of books and audiobooks to read on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Many libraries in New Mexico, including our Questa Library, buy books to be included on the site for you to borrow. Can’t find the book you want to read at the library? Or on Libby? Ask us about INTERLIBRARY LOAN! We can get books for you from other libraries. It is a great way to read a single book or to follow a series of books by your favorite author.

For your use, the New Mexico State Library provides many additional free services. BRAINFUSE offers homework help, a job search function, and a free resume builder. EL PORTAL, accessed through the library’s website at questalibrary.org, also connects users of all ages to newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias, and much more.

Additionally, there’s New Mexico FamilyPass. It is made possible by the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs. FamilyPass provides free admission (up to 6 people) to 15 state museums and historic sites. This pass can be checked out at the Questa Library. Places to go and things to do in New Mexico… free!
