From the Librarian’s Desk…I Love A New Calendar!

It’s the first of 2022! Oh, how I love a new calendar. All those blank pages just waiting to be filled in. Adventures to plan. Places to go. New friends to meet. Endless possibilities!

The library calendar for 2022 arrived in October (we plan ahead) and we immediately started filling in the days with library activities. On January 21, we are planning a visit from TWIRL for Fun Friday. It’s always a great time when TWIRL brings a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) event to Questa! They will be back again February 18 and each month right up to and including our Summer Reading Program.

Peggy Trigg has mapped out our future art exhibits on the calendar, so get your art supplies ready. Soon we will add the date the parking lot construction begins and then the date for creating the patio on the east side of the building. In addition, we are scheduling computer classes, as soon as we can get an instructor.

Dropped Stitch, our needlework club, will be on the calendar in early winter, too. Never a dull moment for this library. Meanwhile, we are working on getting funding for the renovation of our original building. More dates for our calendar!
Our Summer Reading Program gets lots of days on the calendar. This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities.” We are in the process of getting those dates set and you will know soon, so you can put them on your own summer calendar. One thing I am sure of is that we will be giving away bicycles again this summer! Ask me how you can help make this happen.

So, whatever kind of calendar you have, leave some space for library events. Endless possibilities!
