The Plein Air Painters of New Mexico Show

The Plein Air Painters of New Mexico (PAPNM) and Taos Plein Air co-sponsored a plein air paint out event September 20 – 23. This was their third year in partnership. Those who had their easels out battling the wind and elements persevered. It has resulted in two art exhibitions in galleries in Taos that you can still visit, until October 12. Visit the Wilder Nightingale Gallery, 119-A Kit Carson Road in Taos. Or see the special satellite exhibit of juried works at the E.
L. Blumenschein Museum on Ledoux Street called “Shimmering Aspens and the Taos Landscape.”

To learn about the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, or more about plein air painting, visit the PAPNM web site at www.papnm.org. Members of PAPNM meet regularly in and around Taos to paint the scenery available in our region and throughout the state. They continue the legacy of outdoor paint- ing, since 1949.
