In early February, students from the Questa Independent Schools and participants in the Questa Snow Sports Program presented employees of the Red River Ski Area with gifts of appreciation for allowing them to shred on the mountain during the 2023-24 ski season.
A Facebook post from the QISD reports that the students worked in their trades classes to create unique pieces for presentation.
“The art departments at Alta Vista Elementary and QJSHS painted the snowboards and QJSH Agriculture program created the plaque,” the post read.
The schools and Questa community send a hearty thank you and encourage readers to stop by and check out student work, next time you’re at the ski area.
